On land once used for farming and milling, this nature sanctuary now hosts a variety of wildlife and plant species. Spread across 470 acres, the preserve offers everything from hiking trails to creeks, geological formations, and the built remains of human habitation. Recreational activities aren't permitted, aside from hiking, but special programs deal with wildflowers, stargazing, fossils, trees, and animal tracking. Children's activities are also available.
